Odour: Smooth and sweet mentholic odour .

Refractive index: 1.4552 to 1.4580

Optical rotation: -16⁰ to -33⁰

Sp. Gravity: 0.892 to 0.910

Solubility: Miscible with ethanol ( 96 % ) , with ether and with dichloromethane

Composition: Terpene maximum 1 %

                    Menthone & Isomenthone 25 % to 35 %

                         l- menthol 35 % to 40 %

                    Neo menthol 8.0 % to 12 %

Use: Cough mixtures, toothpaste, confectionery, chewing gum, tobacco, cigarettes,

       etc

Storage & stability: Store in a well-fitted , airtight container , protected from light

                             and heat . When stored for more than 12 months , quality

                             should be checked before use.

Inspection: SGS or any other agency as per your requirement.
